I use a ‘taco’ item for both front seats for storage; keys, note pad, security passes… It fits between seat belt buckle and console. A Removable tray in cool box, silicone taco mounted above rear view mirror for sun glasses and silicone inserts within plastic door areas for Leatherman multitool, spare water bottle….Also installed the front seat aluminum elevators to increase seat angle…very easy and comfortable.

For those using a removeable tray in the cool box, do you guys remove the tray when using the cool box function? Or does it not impact the cool box performance?

The tray does not impact performance of the cool box

glove box man... take all of the manuals you will likely never open again, download digital versions to your phone, and you now have a large amount of usable storage space for all of the gizmos and gadgets you need in your car for the trip to the mall!

TL/DR: I don't think the LC suffers from a lack of storage space as much as it suffers from a lack of organizational space. The Bison Gear molle cargo system resolved 99.9% of what I needed, and I appreciate the utilitarian design that affords me the ability to customize with a legitimate reason to do so.

They do a dash pouch specifically for the FJ Cruiser. Looks to be pretty good quality. I'm wondering whether anyone has used this on the side of the console in the LC

Can't stop laughing at myself over what a ridiculously simple solution this is and why I didn't think of it! Absolutely nothing in there at the moment that I would actually use.

I replaced the front grab handles on both sides with the sunglasses holder version and put a small tray in the cooler box. That's about all I need in the way of additional storage.

Net pockets do come in handy. The LC is tight for storage. Overlay mats with side pockets are available on both ebay and amazon. Different types of sunglass holders that attach to visors or one that glues in above the rear view mirror assembly.

A center seat storage bag has worked well for me. It keeps things like my phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, and other small essentials organized and within easy reach while still letting the cooler box do its job. It doesn't replace a full center console, but it definitely adds some much-needed storage.

If you have a 3d printer, there are a lot of storage tray inserts on the web for free. I'm going to print one in Black ASA material (UV and heat tolerant) when I get my LC (8-9 weeks out).
