That is a very powerful engine. So was a birthday party and a buddy had his GX so I said hey man take me for a ride heard that engine is something. That thing for sure is a beast of an engine when he really opened it up. That said given my driving style I'm, just not ever going to push it in a way that I would benefit and I love the responsiveness of the low end torque of the hybrid.

With the 22s it does feel well planted but he is thinking of dropping to 20s as we both agreed that on uneven pavement it was harsh. That said the look of the 22s is pretty sharp on that vehicle.

For sure more roll than my Landcruiser with the KO3's. I think the stiff sidewall of the KO3's kills the roll.

It's a very handsome vehicle it has a nice stance and IMO a great improvement in appearance over the previous version. It looks luxury and has a great presence.

I personally greatly prefer my LC FE but I had a specific vision in mind Off Road capable feel and with the sport exhaust I have the sound so it's just a perfect rendition of what I was looking for.

But if I wanted Luxury with massive power in a reliable SUV. the GX I think is kind of untouchable at that price point.

I love the GX and the 700. Good for you great take.
If we only had as good a dealer locally as the top notch Toyota dealer i would have one.
I may have to take a TRD Sequoia as a second.

Love the GX variant as well, especially the Overtrail (bonus points for Nori Green). Too many variables just swung the pendulum in favor of the LC.

I went back and forth between gx and lc for a long time. Still think the gx is great but it came down to better fuel economy, the gx over tail + I would have wanted was $10k more than my lc fe, and the Lexus brand just doesnโ€™t resonate with me no matter how had I tried.

However if my wife was open to it Iโ€™d love to get a luxury for the family. She however is frugal (so wonโ€™t let me get another new car for the family rn) and prefers bmw to Lexus (so we will probably get an x5 or x7 down the line, which Iโ€™ll also be very happy with).

Mall with nice roads. Tires for 22s on a vehicle of that weight are one pothole away from popping, or getting sidewall damage.
Not to mention cracked rims. My wife had larger diameter wheels on her Jetta Sport Wagon with lo profile tires. It looked great but after the 2nd cracked rim from potholes we bought smaller wheels with tires with more sidewall. Problem went away.

The GX no doubt is a very nice vehicle. However, it does have some well noted disadvantages versus the LC. Unless you need to tow heavier loads, will be doing a lot of long distance highway cruising, or just prefer the nicer (but less robust) interior finishes, save yourself $25K and get the LC with premium package which is a much better value.
