How often do you see another LC 250 Land Cruiser ?

What color do you see the most/least?

Man, seems like they are few and far between in the States, yet majority of the forum members are from there. Here in the UAE, i see at least 10 a day, and we often have 3 or 4 on a single weekend offroad drive with a convoy of 10-12 cars. even the government departments have them as service vehicles .

I might see one a week. Oddly (or not) I see more new 4runners than I see LCs...and that's OK with me. I like driving something a little less common. Seems like everyone has a 4runner. I've only seen 2 GX550s in the wild. Probably a product of where I live. Lots of pickup trucks here.

All the time. There are a few in my neighborhood and there are plenty along the Colorado Front Range. Before I bought mine, I'd not seen many to be honest. The purchaser like me were probably waiting months for their deliveries. The first one I really saw up close was in October in the San Juans, in trail dust, following me on some dirt roads. It was the first one that I saw and I bought one less than a month later. I love this thing and am constantly looking for reasons to pull it out of the garage.

Been on a road trip since December 17th 2025, purchased our 1958 and the end of October 2025
Since we have been on our road trip, from Tucson Arizona through Utah, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California and presently in Nevada Carson City area for the next few weeks I have spotted a total of 4 LC250 Land Cruisers on the entire trip and one was the dealership (new on the showroom floor) in Gresham Oregon when we stopped for our 10,000 mile service on December 24.

With all the people on this forum and the FB pages and the sales numbers I figured we would have scene more out in the wild. Maybe more are in other parts of the US? I do know finding a new Land Cruiser for sale in the Tucson area and western US at the time of our purchase was difficult.

If you see us give a wave….LOL!! And if you live in the Carson City area where is a good self service Car Wash….this thing is horrible dirty and full of crusty beach sand, snow sand/salts, road debris and gunk.
I’m on the north side of San Antonio it’s rare to see a LC or GX. In my year of ownership I have counted 6 between the two of them. The more expensive suburbs probably have more. I have had four 4Runners over the years and since mine, they have multiplied over time in my subdivision. I have counted 5 in just a two block radius. LOL!

About 45 mins North of Seattle, in the Everett Lake Stevens area, and I don't see many at all..... The ones I do see are almost always FE's. Occasionally I'll see one with AT's on the OEM wheels, but haven't seen one modded beyond that yet other than my own. I did though yesterday see a new GX Lifted and kitted!

I see a ton in Vegas. Every time I’m out I see multiple. They’re popping up everywhere. I love it!

I have scene mostly 1958s in Meteor Shower and a couple of Heritage Blue and one Underground at the dealership where I bought mine. That one was kitted out big time and nearly 90K…….ouch!!

Our 1958 is white and I am yet to see another white Land Cruiser in the wild.

I pulled mine up to a four-way stop sign in the Lohi neighborhood in Denver the other day and laughed when I saw 3 of the 4 stop signs had new LC’s staring at me. 😂

My sightings started off with one at the beginning of 2025, a Brown Sugar Metallic (aka Meteor Shower) I would see out east occasionally- they were elusive. Ours was delivered in June, and since then I average seeing one out on the road per day. That tells me they are still a relatively rare bird. With that said, there are two other Land Cruisers I have seen parked at work- one is a blue FE and the other is a LC Premium (either Heritage Blue or Trail Dust) wearing a satin black wrap...only the roof shows factory Greyscape paint. A colleague in a different city has a Wind Chill Pearl Premium.

The availability situation at the dealer still has each Land Cruiser sold before arrival.

Love the Premium in Wind Chill Pearl. That color and the white on the 1958 were the only colors we wanted a Land Cruiser in. We couldn’t even order a premium one in Wind Chill Pearl near Arizona at the time we were purchasing.

(NE Wisconsin)… I’ve seen one and it had Maryland plates. I have seen a couple GX in town however

I saw one last summer on the highway in Geneva, in white, and another one parked in front of our local restaurant, in black. Mine is a grey import from Germany. The dealer also imported two blue ones with white roofs.

I see many old Land Cruisers, and when I can peek inside, they usually show between 400,000 and 700,000 km on the odometer.

This past weekend was the first time I saw a Trail Dust LC in the wild (also mentioned in a previous post on this thread)...aside from that, it seems fairly even among the other color options. I've actually wondered if trail dust simply isn't allocated to my region as much as it is in others?

I see a lot of them around me.

In Bellingham, WA (Just south of the Canadian border) I see GX550/LC250 a couple of times a week but it's a rare sighting. See more 6th Gen 4Runners then LC's.

In the Midwest, you don't see many at all and dealers all have the Premiums pre-sold.

Even in the Chicago area, they are not that common.

In a year and a half, I've seen perhaps 4 of them. 1 Wind Chill, 2 Trail Dusts, and one black one.

I've seen more GX's as many of the 460s are off lease/trade-ins and are just getting the new model. Always in white and always a female driver.

We just finished a 3k mile road trip. I noticed three other 24+ Land Cruisers total.

I think I’ve only ever seen one Ice Cap (a member here who I was giving some unused parts to), and have maybe seen another Underground one once. Have never seen one in Wind Chill Pearl. Almost exclusively I see Black, Meteor Shower, Trail Dust, and Heritage Blue, probably in that descending order. Also, almost exclusively they are 1958s. I’ve maybe seen a First Edition or three (or a base with FE flaps?) - all Blue. Triple beams are rare in my experience.

I was the first in my “area” of SW MO to get one .. about 6 months later I saw a black one then white one.. and now there’s another Trail dust 1st edition exactly like mine I’ve seen for many months now.. and now it’s meteor shower and blue .. I feel confident that these prob 5-6 other LC running in the same 30 mile radius of me. I always wave .. occasionally get a wave back - tried to speak to my “twin” in a parking lot but he didn’t seem all to happy.. which is kinda funny because I was here first .. 🤣

I see a decent number of them here in Austin. I probably see as many GX’s though.
