I consider these benefits! This way my wife can't control the stereo and also she can't see how fast I'm going. On the downside, there are some weird things about the passenger side though like the lack of a nearby volume control and the fact that it’s almost impossible to see anything on the dash.
I'm ambivalent about the lane assist in general but I have a 'friend' that uses the lane assist on those rare occasions where this 'friend' has to look at their phone for something. For me, the lane trace assist is a bit of a toy. It does work - surprisingly well in fact - but there are so few situations where I can chill for any extended period of time and let the car do the driving. Even on long highway trips I find myself passing semis where it’s easier to self-steer. So if that feature were to disappear from the truck I would not lose any sleep.
Traffic jam assist on the other hand is amazing. I have the honor of sitting in I-70 ski traffic all the time and I use it. Last year on one trip it took me 2 hours to get from Silverthorne to the entrance of the Eisenhower tunnel eastbound, which is 11 miles. If you drive it at the wrong time of day it’s a shitshow, and in this case there was weather and an accident. The traffic jam assist worked a charm: I barely touched the wheel or pedals the whole time. Love it.
I'm also a big a fan on the traffic jam assist. Love not having to touch pedals or steering wheel when in stop-and-go traffic on the interstate. Relieves a lot of stress and cramping of the leg.
