Where did you ultimately route your wires for these, I am about to install them as well and struggling with the same issue you mentioned?

Suggestion for routing the wire to avoid the "shutter"............ There is plenty of room in front of the radiator support/shutter to zip tie the wires. On the drivers side there is plenty of room to run the wires to the fuse box. I have several wires running from the pass side to the drivers side in front of the shutters and I zip tied them to existing wire for a neat and secure install. No chance they would interfere with the shutters.
The tricky part will be getting the lights secured to the grille.

Like EOD Guy, I ran the wires in front of the shutters. If you are standing in front of the truck and facing it on the drivers side of the grill there is a small spot that you can run the wires through to the grill. Then I put the wires on the grill and tied them in place with black zip ties so that they don't show there was enough slack to kind of route them down the center so they werent real obvious. I think if you get down and look close you can see them but otherwise they aren't really visible. The lights I got actually fit perfectly into the squares of the grill and have springy latches to hold them in place.
