1958 w/ iPhone 15 pro IOS 26. I’ve already posted just how underwhelming the update was in regard to features on the smaller 1958 screen. Only posting here as additive symptomatic/diagnostic for those chasing the Carplay gremlins.
Long story short, I drop my 3 girls off at school every morning. In the parking lot portion of the drop-off line I allow them to remove their seatbelts and be heathens. Due to the overly obnoxious rear seatbelt chime, my process is/has always been to shut off the ignition, have them take off their belts, open/shut the driver door, and start the LC back up.
Ever since this IOS 26 update, doing this results in getting the boot from Carplay. I’ve tried numerous ignition cycles to no avail. Only fix (aside from going into settings and reconnecting) is shutting the door, locking it with the fob or handle, unlocking by either means, and then restarting. This is the only Carplay issue I’ve had to date, and mildly frustrating.
