I'm a single guy and have no use for the rear seats so I took them out. They're in the way more than they're any help for me. And I probably save 100 lb. I also can use the latch points where the seats used to attach to as additional latch points to hook things into such as dogs etc. I'm...

Not at all. However, unless you have great upper body strength and a strong back, you'll need help getting the larger section out of the truck without scratching something.

If I recall correctly:

1. The trim can be the trickiest part and the little clips can be fragile(especially the red ones), so be gentle with them.
2. There is one electrical connection on each seat in mine. I'm not sure if the 1958's have those connections or not. They are easy to spot and detach once you have removed the trim.
3. There are 4 bolts (14MM, I think) that are under the plastic trim.
4. Be careful when you loosen the bolts. The brackets are spring-loaded to help when folding the seats forward and the can pop up when the bolt is completely out of the hole.

Took Elsie out west again. Hit northern Arizona, southeastern Utah + Moab, and western Colorado before the long haul back home. One again, she drove great and was very comfortable. I've added a new roof top tent from Inspired Overland (I have mostly good thoughts about it but a few irritating things) and made some tweaks to an old, Frankenstein hitch mount, swing away bike and fuel rack.
