He probably never learned the basics of playing well with others while in kindergarten.
To be fair, probably used to "when I speak, others should understand what I said and respond accordingly" "I didn't ask for pleasantries, so why are you offering them"
Also....... doesn't quite understand the concept, that asking for information/advice is drastically different than receiving it.

Hmm... To this new gentleman, just my two cents (as advice if you would like to take it or not .......your choice)
Expecting answers and advice is not a right but rather more of a thing of mutual respect based on being nice to others and also your willingness to help others. Just think of it as a two way street.
Imagine how your initial interaction will sit with the moderator and other genuinely helpful people who are more than willing to help all the other nice people in this group.....
Also when EOD welcomed you with his comment, I can assure you he was truly welcoming you to the group and didn't have any negative intention. Seems you might have misunderstood and mis-interpreted the comment (not the way it was originally intended)

Also if this helps you. You might be able to retrofit Lexus GX 550 power running boards (maybe also new 4Runnner ones too) but you will need to buy more then just the set of those Running boards you will need Controller module, Switch, connector(s), wiring harness and need to see some EWD for the layout/setup in the Lexus GX550 and try to get all parts and replicate that in your LC250(PRADO)
My dealer: Ed Morse Delray Toyota (FL) has (allegedly) ordered a set of electric running boards for my new LC.
I say allegedly because it was a negotiated item when I bought the car, they seem to be dragging their feet.

Cool. Keep us posted and also if you can please ask that dealer what other components/parts they needed to order and install to make it work on the LC250 .

Seriously, best of luck............ there are a couple of after-market brands that sort of fit the LC and the GX 550 electric running boards are 6k per side plus the harness, switch and module (if I remember correctly).
Having owned them, I disliike power running boards and turn them off when a vehicle has them. Water mud, snow, salt, sand, etc continually foul them to the point where they often don't work for long. Maybe they are ok for a pavement cruiser driven only in a warm, dry climate?
All of you are WAY more generous than any forums (except Mud and most VW) I've been on. I would have just band him and let him find friends elsewhere.
Oof, those forums are rough. Mud did not seem welcoming of the new Land Cruiser at all when I hit the forums late last year researching prior to my purchase. So glad I found this place with all its fuel types and tire pressure. Anyone know when windshields will be available???????????
VW Vortex is just kidz with giant turbos wondering if the warranty is now voided. I miss my Golf R but not that forum.

I might be in the market for a Golf R as a commuter express here sooner than I’d like.
I've been on Mud for about 15 years so I do agree this new TLC is a little hard for them. But at least it takes heat off the hundys. I gree about Vortex but, Passat World and all the Audi specific forums were always really great and helpful. I just want this one to be just as good. Still questions once I get another hundy or even a 76 or 90 if I find the right one. Im sure this forum will be just a good or better since these are expensive and will I hope keep out the rifraf.
I'm a simple man I want a TDI.
