After installed the bumper+winch as shown in my previous post, I am looking for the add-on bull bar which will provide additional front protection and also provide the place for additional lightsMission completedDIY destructed and constructed/installed the front bumper + integrated/hidden winch + light bar. It just looks OEM. I am happy with its “perfection”

You may notice on attached photos that I “deleted” (saw off) the dv8 logo at the light bar. I am the design guy who focus on the design details and functions so that logo bothers me![]()
How much weight willThis is probably the best looking solution I’ve seen and I think the price is fair. I’m very close to pulling the trigger, but have some concerns about the significant added weight of the bumper plus a winch. In addition to some over landing and offloading I spend most of my time commuting on highways and wonder how this would affect front end performance, airflow, and even they already poor mileage?
I'm not sure about exact weight, but with 12,000 lb. winch and light bar, it dropped the front end 1/2 inch at the tires. How much weight will
It add?
Winch wiring succeed. Tested and all works well!
I had 1 ga cables ( finger size dia. and heavy) which is harder to go through vehicle interior (firewall, interior trims, carpet, etc.) As you notice from photos, I did not hide a portion of cables, because it will be hidden on the side of drawer system. I can access to replace the fuse if needed.
I don’t want to run the cables through fender and under the vehicle like Discentoffroad, because I want those cables got no harm from outdoor stuffs.
Also, I chose 1ga cable so that no voltage lost after 20 ft long cables.
As you said, I feel great with that achievement myself
Attached are few photos
Use x-acto knife to cut a LINE ( not hole) about 1/2” long on the firewall rubber piece…Ah yes thanks for reminding me of this. I've been waiting for my bumper for so long that I forgot that I saw a good way for wiring.
One thing I didn't see in the photos is where you took it through the firewall. Would you mind telling me where to look?
Thanks!
