Hi all,
Has anyone had a similar problem this winter?
Starting this month, I've had a few mornings where the window mechanism is frozen and it won't roll down. Never happend with my other cars.
My LC is always kept in the garage overnight. Not sure if there's a solution for this?

You could try a product like this:

Sounds like higher humidity causing ice crystals? I assume after warm up, it works fine?
I've had it happen with my other cars. Course, we rarely roll our windows down in the winter around here unless pulling up to a coffee stand. :)

We had some pretty heavy rains that I had to drive in not long after I got mine, and I was bit surprised the next day or so at how much moisture there was on my driver's window after rolling it down/up even after the rain had stopped...so this doesn't necessarily surprise me. I've definitely had the frozen window thing happen to me, though probably not on a vehicle this new, and certainly not one this expensive...but yeah, probably needs a better seal between the window and the door.

Thanks for the responses so far everyone.
And this is exactly what happened to me at the local coffee shop.

Happened to me this AM. Super cold here, and a lot of snow. Drove it around for 30 minutes and the internal heat warmed it up enough to break the seal. Cold weather does strange things. This is typical on my other vehicles, as well.

same thing has been happening to me here in Utah. tony bit of snow over the weekend and some rain. all windows frozen in the am. it worked after defrost but bit surprised. never happened on my other vehicles for this long. takes a while to defrost on LC

It's been happening to mine too. Silicone lubricant is the key. Spray it on a sponge brush or a cloth, then apply a thin layer to the rubber window seals. I've had seals freeze in other vehicles (including door seals, which is especially annoying). Silicone lubricant always took care of it. You may need to reapply once mid-season.

I don't open my window often in the winter, so I haven't gotten around to doing it to the Land Cruiser yet. But it's on the list.

Good luck!

I have a similar issue. After my 20 min commute to work, the window will roll down 1/2 or 3/4 the way and stop after I fully press down the button for auto roll. If I press it a second time, it will go the rest of the way down. I have a video that I have sent to my brother who is an engineer at Toyota. Iโ€™ll also see if the dealership has anything to say.
