Decision on new 2027 LandCruiser

There is a non-premium (meteor/java softex) on my local lot as we speak. Definitively a rare spec as 99% I see are 1958s or Premiums w/ 20’s. I’m considering taking my dealer up on their trade-up offer.

Regarding A/T tires, the good options are all there. Pirelli Scorpions, Nitto G3s, Toyos, Falken AT4s… you may just have to go up a negligible size to get them in your desired load. I put the scorpions on the wife’s Sequoia w/ 20s and went with a 1/2” size bigger.

I have this spec and it’s very rare to find in my area.

Hello, new to the forum. Long time Toyota family (2006 Sequoia, 2018 4Runner TRD Pro). Close to making final call on new LandCruiser but working through a few considerations. Ideal spec is Meteor Shower exterior, Java trim, 18 in rims. Live in Norcal and spend lots of time in Sierras both winter and summer. I am now realizing this is a hard spec to locate in California. What is more widely available is the this car with 20 in rims. I've been holding out as have been told finding A/T tires for the 20 in rims is tricky though did just see a post about some 20 in tire options options (Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws / Toyo Open Country IIIs.) I am being short sighted holding out for the 18 in package....it could be a long wait. Thank you

Welcome. I'm new here myself and just bought a 2027 LC meteor shower with black interior. I got the smaller wheels myself as my garage space is very tight. I'd also guess you'd say my tires are anything but aggresive.

I love it. I took it out yesterday for my first off-roading. Deep sand first, then some modest hill climbing. No problems anywhere. Went thru a few of the different setting. Flawless.

Oh, and I'm in Carefree, AZ. I had to wait about a month for mine to come in. The '27's are in short supply in my area.

20 inch with the Toyo Open country. Very happy with them as I spend a lot of time on the highway. But they're good off road, though I'm not a rock climber.

Welcome, KTB, from a fellow Norcal person and owner of a Meteor Shower with 20's. There are more options available for 18" rims for sure. You can go online to Tire Rack to see what may be available for the 20" rims and get all the specs there. One thing to consider is the 20" rims are heavy, and if you put a heavy AT LT (E load)tire on it, it will affect your MPG more. There are some AT tires that are lighter and would play well with the 20" rim....like the Toyo AT3 (C or D load) Another option is to swap out the 20's for some 18's after purchase. Me, I'mma gonna get as much wear as I can out of the stock Geolander 20's before crossing that bridge.
