Recently upgrade to Continental TerrainContacts in 265/70/18 size…… what an improvement!

I was stuck with decision paralysis for over a week trying to decide on new tires. I was tempted to go with popular options but those did not suit my daily driving habits. I saw very few (if any) posts on continental tires but reviews online praised this particular model. Really happy with the result.

It's really hard to get anything from this without you explaining:
1. What are your driving habits?
2. What did you do to put these tires to a test?
3. In what way you are experiencing improvement in these tires?

These answers would help us who are thinking about changing tires a lot.

1) Mostly highway/city/suburban driving. I did not need true off road tires. Based on reviews and data online, these hit sweet spot for comfort, quietness and MPG efficiency.
2) I have had my LC for roughly two months. Majority of driving has been on stock Yokohama XCVs, its a decent tire but wanted something slightly more aggressive looking.
3)After switching to these tires, car drives a lot smoother and stability is much better. This weekend, I drove through torrential rain for about 2 hours both through highway and city, tire grip was vastly superior. Car also feels a lot smoother when going over bumps. These are immediate differences I noticed since I have less than a week with these new tires.

I had Continental TerrainContact A/T's on my 2019 F150, I put them on my Land Cruiser and 2025 F150, they are great tires. They are quiet, they handle very well, they track well, they brake very well (dry and in the rain), they are fine on dirt roads and what not (they are an on-road oriented A/T tire). They were pretty good when it snowed 6-8+" here and the roads became icy, and mine were pretty worn down by then.

Cons; They are a softer compound, so they have more rolling resistance, but they are light. They will get flat spots when sitting over night/for a few days, this goes away after a few blocks or half a mile.

I wore mine down before the warranty expired, Cont gave me $62 per tire for replacements*, which I thought was fair. I drive fairly aggressively.

The H/T are even better and often rated better than the Defenders, if you are primarily on the road and don't care about the A/T "look", they are a fantastic choice too.

*This worked out well, I was replacing the horrific Nitto Ridge Grapplers that SET put on my LC. So, we put the replacement Cont TC's on my Land Cruiser, then Nitto's on my '19 F150 (where they were even worse than on the LC), and then I traded my '19 in. lol.

Appreciate your input, your experience is exactly what I have seen online across other reviews and let me to get these. I hope they last me a long time!

You may want to do a chalk test. I have the 20" on my LC (and my F150), I bumped my cold psi up 2psi. I just felt they road a little better, I did not do the chalk test though lol. Figure when hot, they are sitting at about 38psi. I've had them up to 40 (hot) and it is fine, a little more touchy.

I mainly selected the brand/model because of the wet braking, the ratings for wet braking on many AT tires is pretty bad.
