With the long nipple non-rotating Fumoto, is there plenty of clearance between it and the skid? No worries about the valve being damaged even if the skid is indented in a bit?

If I remember correctly the last time I was under there, there must’ve been at least 3-4” of clearance to the skid. If you damage the Fumoto, chances are that you will suffer much more extensive damage and the vehicle will probably be inoperable anyway. IMO

Yes and I have approx 10" of hose that I leave permanently attached with a rubber cap on the end of the hose

Couple of interesting oil drain valves with the valve located internal maybe making them a bit safer from contact. Same design as German Stahlbus.
