I'm 6 foot I hit my head on the rear door corner when it's fully open, it's not designed for N/A market, 4runner doo opens ~2 feet higher ...

What are you on about? I don’t need to adjust my rear hatch, and don’t think I’ve said anything to indicate I want to.

Also, I have a 1958, so seeing that part of the owner’s manual will just show me all the neat things LC trim owners can do back there.

My wife makes me wear a special helmet for certain activities, because I am clumsy personified. I am kidding about making me wear a special helmet- she only suggested that

I have clipped my head on the tailgate, but that was more of a “me” problem than a Land Cruiser problem. In Toyota’s defence, that happens far more regularly with getting into my work vehicle. One would hope the good folks at NHTSA can read between the lines and filter the complaints.

You’re lucky, my GF makes me wear a bag over my head for certain activities.

You DID create a post showing a NHSTA complaint that someone hit their head on the rear door when open. True it was not YOU. However, that does not change the reality that the opening height is adjustable.

Again, in as precise wording as possible, your response is still not applicable to anything that I’ve said and not universally true as I stated in my last comment. Please, oh wise one. refer me to the page in the owners manual that will show me how to adjust my 1958’s rear door lift height.

I hate it when I’m wrong about something and then can’t let it go Six years of neurofeedback therapy has helped this… I hope.

Anyway, I’m really good at bashing my head into things. One time, I found that camera mount and boy did it sting! Usually I’m a slow learner (I was the kid who had to touch the hot stove twice), but so far I’ve only done it once

Thanks oh wise one. I’m apparently helpless, so I’ll make you an offer you can’t refuse:

You fly down here to the OBX. If you can perform that procedure from the manual, ON MY 1958 ( ), I will pay you for your plane ticket, hand over the keys to my 1958 and give you gas and lodging expense cash for your drive back north. All expense paid trip, free LC to do with as you wish… all you have to do is perform that procedure on my LC.

Hint: I have a 1958
