Towing has been great with the King shocks. I dial up the rebound a bit so when I, then the trailer hit a bump it levels out really well. It doesn’t continue to bounce a bunch. My issue though is it’s lifted so the stock hitch drop is too short and that coupled with the added weight of the trailer the back end squats a lot pulling up the front end. That’s not a King problem it’s a stock Toyota rear spring issue. I just installed Dobinsons 0-110 lb rear springs today so I’ll see how that and a few inch drop on a hitch will level the truck out when it’s towing.Any updates on the towing with these shocks? My factory shocks dip in the back a bit too much for my liking when towing my Turtleback Trailer, and it’s not that heavy of an overland trailer. I need something that can handle the extra weight in the back. I’m looking at the King shocks as well as the new ARB Old Emu shocks.
You can’t go wrong with either King or Dobinsons. Both have been great.Great read! Thank you for putting this all together. I am considering the Kings, so it is nice to see people running them with positive results.
In a singular post I reached the 25 image limit. I have been updating the fist post as time has gone on. So I’ll start a second post in this thread with PT.2 updates until I get to the images limit and repeat, etc. What! Hmmm, Makes no sense, you don't have nearly as many images as some of the other build pages have....
