Just a reminder.......CarPlay works with wifi as its primary connection. Bluetooth is only utilized as the initial "handshake". If your phone wifi isn't on, CarPlay will not work. Apologies if you knew that but thought it was worth mentioning after reading your posts.
My main complaint is if I use the Toyota app to start the vehicle, it will not connect to CarPlay on my phone even after I push the start button after entering. You can key punch through it but I have found the easiest and fastest workaround is just to turn the vehicle off and restart. It will then connect automatically (as long as my wifi is on

). Not a deal breaker but certainly annoying.
My second complaint is a bit more "1st world" or spoiled child. I have a Siri account but experience the same issue with Spotify or any streaming music service. If I am using a music streaming service on my phone when I exit my other vehicles, they default back to the same streaming service on CarPlay when I start the vehicle. My LC doesn't share the same functionality. I have to navigate back to said streaming service and select my channel again. I know not difficult but when I'm aware the functionality exists, its annoying.
