SorryThanks for the advice and IF the drain plug was securing anything else, I'd use a torque wrench (I have many) but the bottom line is the drain plug is crushing a fiber washer....... I'm good.

No offense taken.Sorry
Maybe but........ there is minor heat breakdown, but nothing compared to engines, differentials or Xfer cases. Wheel bearings, U-joint needle bearings are protected by seals and as long as the seals don't get damaged, any quality grease should last a very long time.Thank you. I wonder if there is a high quality synthetic.
The dealer in Ocala, Florida did not grease Miss Daisy’s‘ propeller shaft when we stopped in for the 5,000 Service while on vacation. They also did not do other things that they said that they DID do..Owners manual states: Avail just about anywhere and by many manufacturers.......

Florida Toyota stores (really most dealerships) suck in Florida and we also get to pay massive dealer fees to the tunes of $800-$1,500 per car purchase. The dealer in Ocala, Florida did not grease Miss Daisy’s‘ propeller shaft when we stopped in for the 5,000 Service while on vacation. Something else I have to do now.
Unless you are towing or hauling a heavy load, it'll be ok. I didn't grease mine at 5K but plan to make sure the dealer does at the 10K mark. The dealer in Ocala, Florida did not grease Miss Daisy’s‘ propeller shaft when we stopped in for the 5,000 Service while on vacation. The thing that bothered me the most about that dealer, is that they had a preprinted sheet with all the boxes already printed with check marks in them. I know for a fact that they did NOT do over half of the items on the list.Unless you are towing or hauling a heavy load, it'll be ok. I hear ya, without being able to observe what they actually do during a service, you're never sure what they actually do, other than observe fluid levels. I do place chalk dots on my tires to ensure they're rotated. At my local dealer, when I paid for a 10K (at the 5K mark) they itemized what they added/measured on the job sheet (not that preprinted check list thing) ...... ie tread depth, brake lining, windshield washer fluid etc.......The thing that bothered me the most about that dealer, is that they had a preprinted sheet with all the boxes already printed with check marks in them. Yes, I have already contacted Toyota corporate, and given them a 50 minute earful about that service encounter.
Horrible.
