what tires are coming stock on 27 1958 or base? I've seen posts with nitto terra grapplers, the OEM geolanders, michelin or dunlop, is it a regional thing? All the spec sheets I've looked don't list tire models recently.

Yokohama geolander X-CV in 245/70R18 on the 1958, anything else would be a dealer upgrade. At least in canada there is no factory tire upgrade available for 1958
It is definitely a regional/supply chain issue. While our Premium came with Yokohama "street" tires, many came with Dunlops. The smaller tire size is consistent for the 1958 but the actual maker can vary. The variance can be seen on the 1958, the Land Cruiser/Land Cruiser and Premium trims. The Nitto-equipped LC's seem to be dealer- or port-installs.

My 1958 came with the Nitto port-installed “upgrade”. That included 265/65-18 Ridge Grapplers. I know it’s a common add in the SET region.
