2027 Noise in Cabin

UPDATE:
Went to the dealer this AM the Service Manager went for a ride with me in the back seat. After 2 min drive he said he heard it and said it was annoying. He said wait around and if he needs more time he will put me in a loaner ! After 2 hours he came out and said its FIXED ! I told him about the B pillar issues etc .. He said the Camrys had that issue as well. Over the weekend we took super lube and did the door latches etc . nothing worked ! I tried to adjust the drivers door latch too. Didnt have much adjustment. WELLLLLLLLLLLL that was the issue! They said they had enough room to move it and that was the culprit. He said when they put there hand on the glass and the arm rest it stopped. He said to texh him whemn I left and if its still there they keep the truck ! Dammm rattle is gone and the truck is finally rattle free! Hope this helps everyone with this NASTY rattle !

Now I have to decide to swap this LC for the Prem Package. Dealer didn't have any Prem's and they told me they would swap this one out for the PREM when the one arrives to the dealer in a few weeks, It seems common being Toyota limits the inventory .. We wanted the JBL and Memory seats BUT that dam DRIVER ALERT camera and system seems to be a pain! They gave me a loaner the other day and it was a Grand Highlander and this Driver Alert was going off like crazy on an hour drive. Seems you can turn off the audio alert but not the pop up and each time you restart the car u have to go deep into the settings and turn 2 things off! Now that mine is rattle free we are thinking to keep ours which is very loaded up ! Ive been reading people are regretting the Prem Package cause of this stupid option. Plus I noticed every time I looked at the gauges my eye went to that camera bump.

Unless they changed something with the driver alert system on 2027s, my 2026 premium has it and it’s not a bother. There are several options to turn off which completely disable it, except if you cover the camera for about 30 seconds it will toss a message on the dash cluster (which goes away as soon as you unblock it). Not a big deal at all.

You cannot permanently disable the Driver Attention / Monitor System (DMS) on a 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser by default. Safety regulations require the system to re-enable itself automatically every time you start the car. However, you can turn it off manually for each trip through the instrument cluster settings. [1, 2, 3]

How to Turn Off the Driver Monitor System Per Trip
    • Use the directional pad on your steering wheel to access the multi-information display on your dashboard.
    • Press and long-press the "OK" button on the steering wheel to open the settings menu.
    • Navigate to Vehicle Settings.
    • Scroll down to find Driver Monitor Settings or Driver Attention Warning.
    • Toggle off both Driver Monitor Alert and DMC Recording (driver monitor camera) if available. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Regardless if AI, it sounds correct. The thieves in our goverment passed a driver monitoring law that goes into effect for 2027MY. This is exactly why we ordered a 2026 defender this july for wife. Will be the last new car we buy.

Edit: i cant actually find NHTSA info that shows my2027 must have this driving monitor enabled by default. Appears NHTSA is still evaluating before final ruling. Lots of fear porn out there.
Hopefully someone can find out the truth.

We have a 2027 LC and it doesnt have this. Seems like ONLY the PREM comes with it! Think we will be sticking with out NON Prom model and save money and save some issues at the same time !

Def probably keeping the Non Prem model at this point as well ! Gad we don't have this crap in our Non Prem model for sure ! And that stupid camera on the steering wheel is a distraction when you look at your gauges for sure !

Look further into it. Maybe the dealer can disable the on at start-up option. I cant find the regulation that makes this mandatory for MY2027. Toyota might just be preempting the law for future, or gathering data to improve the system for when truly mandatory.

And this New Prem has the SAME rattle as mine.. LOL

Just got home from the dealer. They let me borrow a NEW 2027 LC prem! I turned off :
Driver Monitor Camera (DMC) Recording
Driver Monitor Alert
Turned the care off and back on and locked and unlocked the LC, OFF STILL !
Drove it home 30 min ride. Parked the LC locked it up unlocked it and started it up ! BOTH ITEMS where STILL OFF!
Also on the way home I bloked the camera with a peice of paper and NO ALERTS at ALL !
So I guess when you turn the system OFF it stays off !
Now ill decide to spend the extra $$ on the PREM LC when it arrives or keep mine.
I actually fell the soft tech seats were more softer on the Butt than the leather.. FYI my opinion !

The main (only?) advantage of a premium is lumbar, memory seats, and padded elbow rest.
Edit: you also get to hold your nose up at the calloused elbow peons in 1958s ;)

The only 2 reasons for me for PREM is the Memory Seats and JBL .. Seems like the leather seats are much firmer than our Soft Tech seats.

Do you have the PREM ?
