I ended up calling my local dealer and getting 20% off and No shipping so I did that.
They are. They said it should be out late October/early November. I believe @familycruiser250 on IG has a prototype
I think the sway bar plate is protected by the front skid plate IIRC, not the transmission plate. I'd go ahead and install the front, it's easy to pop off to complete the rear plate later.
Hi there, I have the front plate already attached and looking to add the transmission and diff plates… does the transmission plate slide into the front plate to attach or does it have its own attachment holes? I can’t quite make it out from this picture. Thanks!
If I remember correctly, it slides under the rear of the front skid plate, so you’ll have to undo the front skid plate bolts to install the transmission plate.

I bought a skid from marketplace and realized I didn’t have the black bracket the kit comes with. Is it completely necessary for the install? I can’t buy the part from Toyota by itself. They insist I need to buy the entire skid plate kit.
Thank you so much for this, made job much easier. If only Hoover Toyota in Alabama imposters hadnt stripped bolts to OEM plates doing oil changes, this would have been a 30minute job. That's what i get for trusting others to touch my cars. Never again, warranty and disabilty be damned.

83, and have always done my own oil changes, etc. The part-time college kid at the lube station doesn't even know what a torque wrench is...
You may be able to save that hole by running a tap through it, I'd never even think about torquing it to spec again tho' but maybe enough to keep a bolt for ascetics. I'd also put just a dab of RTV at the bottom of the hole to keep an un-torqued bolt in place and still allow it to be easily removed for the next oil change.
If it were mine, I'd cut off the old thread pocket from the backside and weld on a new plate, then drill and tap to the correct size for a perm fix.
(edit) or install a nut zert if there is enough material for one to bite on.
I’ve used helicoils at work for repairing stripped out bolt holes that needed to hold >100lbs. If all else fails.

I used helicoils on the last car nissan dealer stripped all the skid plate bolts on. Why cant dealers use something beside 3/4" impact gun to run in M8 bolts?
If you can, pick it up form dealer that's probably ideal. Also, depending on what dealer you set as your dealer through the Toyota parts site will determine what discount you get so you may have to pick a certain dealer to get it. Or at least thats how it looked to me.
