Wrecked new LC 1st day …you can’t make this crap up.

Oh man, as a fellow LC owner that has been in a wreck, I feel for you. I'm hoping to get mine back next week sometime if everything goes to plan. Hopefully yours is back to new ASAP!

Keep hugging on that big ole stuffed tiger.
Now if that was a real living tiger and you killed it, you are truly doomed.
Everyone knows being kind to cats is good luck, rescuing kitties is extremely good luck and tends to run for life.
Being mean to the point of death, oh dear, doomed and screwed big time.

Waited a month for the LC- finally got it - drove 100 miles home a couple errands around town, did a few minor mods to it at home and was taking it to drop off to get lift and new tires tomorrow, and got in a small pile up and ripped the front end off basically. 130 miles! What a disaster of a day!!! Glad no one was hurt. The back was looking good though!😂
This really sucks dirty pond water!!! That’s not gonna buff out..

Dude that is insane. 130 miles! Will be good as new in time, but that is tough.

I heard that Ukrainians are selling MaxxPros cheap on the black market. Give it a thought.
So my guy that will put the truck back together told me the Ukrainians would have all the wrecked ones bought up and not worry about a junk yard. I had never even heard of this. I would buy one from them in a heartbeat if I had any clue how to go about it. If you have any info, please message me.

Not in US, not in US...but my relative in Czech Republic bought from them almost new Heckler and Koch selective fire MP5 for 800 Euros, off the papers of course. Something like that would get you 10 years in the Federal pokey, lol.

Happy you are well and not harm. Keep up the good spirits. You know the f*ing saying: 💩 happens

You should have sent us one of those memes videos where you start with how to buff out a tiny scratch and then zoom out to the carnage. All kidding aside, I'm sure this is everyone's worst nightmare for their LC250. My heart sunk seeing the post description on the forum notification today. Things are replaceable, our loved one are not. Glad to hear no one was injured.

I'm not sure which state you're in or whether diminished value is available there, but if the insurance company doesn't total the vehicle and instead forces a repair—and the wreck wasn’t your fault—you should absolutely pursue a diminished value claim. Let me know if you're interested, and I can send you a link to a diminished value adjuster who can handle everything remotely.

I had my gladiator hit when fairly new (about two years old) and got a partial amount for diminished value. It’s going to show up on the CarFax. I also did a CarMax/Carvana “sell my car” to show the price difference when you select “one accident”. Save and print those to work for you.
I know that the insurance company gave me a slight percentage and then this whole song and dance about what they can pay out. I still got something and if I find what their response was, I can post or send me a PM.

Well technically my damage is my fault. Two cars piled up in front of me, and I was the 3rd one in line, and hit the back of the 2nd one. Couldn’t go right because of a light pole. So I am sure because of it being my fault, I won’t get the diminished value. So I lose on this mess and resale value. Hoping to drive the wheels off it for 15 years (I generally only put 7-8k a year on my vehicle), so resale probably not the most major issue.

Dealership said today the part I need should be available in 2 weeks. I don’t have a lot of confidence in that when they told me last week it was back ordered indefinitely. I do have an exec at our local Toyota plant that sent some messages up the chain today through their Brand Engagement branch to see if he could help. Fingers crossed.

I keep replying to you, and I know I’m late to this party. Thought it might be good info regardless…

Fault or no fault, diminished value can be claimed. The risk is that you would be filing a diminished value claim against your own insurance company.

Ask me how I know? Geico forked over a $4k check to me a couple years ago. The accident was ruled a 50/50 fault in arbitration. Clearly the other guy’s fault and captured on dash cam, but Geico didn’t even try against the other driver’s State Farm policy. So I moved to another company and claimed against Geico. Every state is different in whether it is mandatory or not, mine was not.
