Windshield protection

Supposedly infinite. They said that they'd attempt repairing any chips before replacing the windshield, but there isn't a limit. Seemed like a no brainer considering we are entering rockchip season (winter).

You won with that one lol...

I think the biggest issue you'll have is ensuring they can order the glass, it seems to be super backordered and the delivery times are 3-4 weeks out. I only trust OEM manufacturers and installation because I believe all of the Toyota Safety cameras and sensors go through the windshield - if its not calibrated right, you're in a world of trouble.

Has anyone installed windshield protection alongside tint?

I have a tinted windshield and want to ensure its compatible and doesn't compromise visibility...

Has anyone had any luck testing out windshield protection films yet. Considering it but hear a lot of horror stories about how they scratch up easily and basically need to be removed after a year, plus not sure how much protection they provide for our pretty vertical windshield/stone catcher

Any responsible PPF installer will tell you these film only prevent light scratches, which your windshield glass is already pretty safe for it. It can do nothing to rock hitting on it. My PPF from last October already have numerous small rock puncture wounds as living proof.

I would rather to just replace my windshield every 2-3 years. My insurance covers that so the only cost for me is $500 every 2-3 years.
