Where was yours Built?

There were rumors that Toyota was going to break ties with hino but apparently it was just that or they reached agreement. Mine is from Tahara which is what I prefer given the choice. Don’t know how much it actually matters.

These are built at Hamura and Tahara. The vast majority will be built at Hamura simply because they have to capacity to do so. The Hino plant is a completely different factory.
Mine was built at Hamura.

Our LC Premium was built at Tahara, the 1958 at Hamura. I really do not see any difference in overall fit and finish between the two.

Why the preference in one plant over the other?

The Tahara plant is Toyota's flagship manufacturing plant. It's supposedly where their most experienced people are located, and where they build their highest end vehicles. There are many posts on here including some youtube videos about it.

Mine is a 2025 non premium LC, built in Tahara. As far as preferences are concerned, Japanese manufacturing methods are admired globally and the Tahara plant (was/still is?) considered to be a crown jewel in that manufacturing model. Based on how they operate, I'm sure Toyota has all of their factories working at the best efficiency in terms of both production and quality control. I'm not sure it matters where you're LC is being built but it's a fun statistic to keep track of.

Mine was built at Hamura…but mine had their best guys on it.

Joking of course…what I can say is that from having Tahara-built Toyota/Lexus to compare to, I cannot perceive any difference in quality/craftsmanship between the two…i.e., top-notch. My wife’s Lexus was from Canada and it’s put together like absolute shit by comparison.

Just a guess, but your wife's Lexus was likely built in a heavily government subsidized plant in Quebec - maybe Ontario.

Coming from several generations of 4Runners which were all built at Tahara, that plant earned their reputation with me. Obviously the number of accolades that particular manufacturing facility has received in the past several decades is impressive. Thus my preference for having a Tahara built lc. Having said that I would like to think the Hino subsidiary would produce lc’s to the same standards that apply to Tahara.

Tahara here. Factory is also identified on the window sticker.

What factory was your LC built in?

I used this VIN Decoder Welcome to VIN Decoding :: provided by vPIC to find out where my LC was built....

the Hamura plant in Tokyo.
Mine, an LC LC 2024 with PP has this VIN JTEABFAJ6R5001691, so it seems was made at Tahara in the state of Aichi is meteor shower

How many factories are building the new LC? so far I've seen Tahara, Hamura, and Hino

My ‘25 LC LC Premium was built at the Tahara plant.

The only difference I have noticed so far between this and my previous 1958 (Hino-built) is the padded knee panel seems to be a little more solidly attached to the center console over the 1958.

This may just be a one-off though.

Cambridge, Ontario…not sure if it’s the plant or just our build was an unfortunate anomaly, but there were many (all minor) issues…e.g., trim pieces literally fell off in the first few months.
