đź‘‹ Welcome to the new Land Cruiser Forum - Please post an introduction thread!

My wife has a 2025 Premium. Just turned 10K. She loved the look of the LC and GX and decided on LC mostly based on the interior choice. This is our first Toyota. I'm a Jeep guy so used to lurking on the forums. Signed up to see what's happening in LC land and see what in the world the deal is with the insane reverse brake squeal while reversing. You guys didn't disappoint. I've learned it's kind of a Toyota truck thing and there is at least some hope for a fix. Appreciate all the great information so far.
Welcome to the asylum.

Newby here. Happy to be back in a Toyota. Just traded in a 2019 Range Rover for a blue 2025 Land Cruiser. Loved the Rover but it was getting close to 70k miles and I felt better about having a more reliable car my family could drive. This Land Cruiser looks so damned good. Had a used 2015 4Runner TRD Pro and new 2016 Land Cruiser in the past.

Welcome! And congrats on dumping the RR. Been there, done that.

Hello from North Carolina. I have been a long time Honda Ridgeline owner prior to purchasing my LC yesterday. I did my homework and am early into the ownership, but so far so good. I decided against the Premium Package and feel like a got a good deal overall with the base model I purchased. I can live without the better stereo, sunroof and memory seats. Many dealers in NC are selling OVER sticker for "tariffs" and many feel like selling at sticker is giving the buyer a deal. I was able to get nearly $4000 off the sticker so I am pretty happy.

Early thoughts are: Firm ride. Very peppy throttle response (better than my Honda Ridgeline). The speedometer is about 2mph faster than Waze GPS. 70mph on speedometer is 68mph on Waze GPS. Interior is comfortable and spacious. Stereo is all that I need. Took some doing to turn off the Lane assist function but figured it out finally. When trying to customize the 3 different driving screens, I wish there were more options for the center portion of the screen so currently I am just leaving it blank.

Going from the Honda Ridgeline truck with the larger under bed storage in the back, I still have to figure out how to organize the rear cargo area with all my golf shoes and other things that were stored under the old truck bed.

Congrats, and welcome! And you're right, the speedo is off about 2 mph - several threads on here about that topic.

Welcome to the asylum. I’ve also noticed that the speedometer is off.

Hello from Dubai!

A newbie to this group and to the Toyota family in general. Have owned a Lexus many years ago but in mainly owned Mercedes sedans in the past (and still do, this is my wife's car).

Just purchased an LC 250 (they call it the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado here) in platinum white pearl mica color scheme. It is an "Adventure" trim which has a decent amount of features. Missing mainly is the JBL stereo and the trailer-hitch, both of which I can do without.

We do not get the hybrid version as available in the U.S., but we have a 3rd row here instead. At least on paper, the engine offering did not appear impressive but after a few days of driving, I don't feel that it lacks in power (or the engine is otherwise under-powered). Maybe a bit unrefined?

Currently in stock condition, will be tinkering around with it in the next few months. It replaces my wife's Tesla Model Y as we move away from EVs for a while.

Thank you for all the informative discussions on here.

Good morning. Just joined the forum last night. SUV owner for past 30yrs. Skier and lots of long distance driving from CT to Maine so my SUVs were always space and efficiency oriented.. relatively speaking
1991 Montero LS
1994 MONTERO SR. A favorite
2000 Trooper
2003 Axiom
2006 Tribeca
2008 X5 3.0 si
2011 X5d
2015 Evoque 2dr Dynamic
2016 Range Rover Sport
2021.5 Range Rover Westminster 3.0 mild hybrid
2025 Land Cruiser on order

Many of the older ones were used. BMW had major diesel issues and they refused to issue recalls...goodbye german vehicles. Germany really hasn't changed. Arrogance still exists with the thoughts like "ultimate" and "best or nothing"
Range Rover has been amazing, yet boring and unlike the lucky post covid trade in on the 2016, depreciation is just plain sad on such an awesome vehicle. Done with that game.

I never considered Land Cruiser or Big Lexus because they were 15-17 mpg vehicles in the winter. Even 20mpg in winter in my RR at 80mph is a significant increase.

Sort of fell into the new Land Cruiser by chance. Think I was surfing the web and found the new one looking at Toyota website. Where I intend to move to retire, luxury brands have zero presence. I was seeing what dealerships are most local to me and there are 3 Toyota dealerships within 1.5hrs! I saw the new LC on the website of a dealer. First thought was damn that looks pretty good!! The new LC immediately seemed RIGHT SIZED for needs and usage living on the side of Sugarloaf on a dirt road all year. No more big dubs etc.

I am a 20+ year track rat and instructor. I do almost all work on my cars except engine/ tranny pulls. I have one little EV now which I love ( Fiat 500e), and always thought my next SUV would be Hybrid. The RR Is mild hybrid at best.
Really looking forward to my LC arrival in Wind Chill Pearl, Java Leather. Pretty fully loaded. Anything to do with wind chill seems appropriate for Sugarloaf! Been a while since I went exploring on the old logging roads........hmmmmm.

New owner from Denver here. Never owned anything in my life but a 4Runner until now, and I’m loving the new LC rig. It’s everything I wanted my 5th gen 4Runner to be and more.

Was planning on getting the underground color but fell in love with the trail dust in person.

I’ve been out of the off roading game for a few years after having kids, but they’re finally getting old enough to go enjoy the outdoors with. Looking forward to many adventures in the Land Cruiser!
