Turning off TPWS Tire Pressure Warning System

I don’t have the sensors on my Method rims.

Is the a way to disable the warning system so the dash doesn’t show the red tire issue emblem?

No, it's a mandated system by the DOT and Toyota has no method to facilitate turning it off, nor would they due to liability.

You could put a small piece of black electricians tape over the warning light. I’ve done this on track cars to avoid having to look at airbag lights and such.

There used to be a hack.......... Fabricate a PVC pill out of some 3" sch 40 PVC pipe and mount the TPMS sensors into PVC Pill, pressurize the pill to 33 lbs and put it in the back.

I don't know if this will work on the LC due to the lack of rotation needed to wake up the sensors.
