TPWS Tire Pressure Warning System - Setting By Specified Pressure

When I go into vehicle settings/TPWS and I select " Setting by Specified Pressure" I get the screen that shows "33" as pressure for front tires. The manual states on page 559-560 that this is user adjustable., but I can get it to change using buttons as usual. See paste of manual instructions below. and pics of screens displayed Anyone figure this out yet? Thanks in advance.

Why are you changing it? This value is the baseline used to determine if a low pressure warning is triggered. For example, if the actual measured pressure is 28 psi, (33-5) you will probably get the warning.

I just want to understand how it works, and see if it user definable. Can you adjust yours?

I’d like to adjust as well for airing down. Considering not using in the summer. The warning was really handy when I got a sidewall tear. Gave me just enough time to find a level spot to change tires.

Have you tried to change the setting and see if it is user definable?

Did you ever figure this out? I can use the "Current Pressure", but it says right on the screen that you should be able to define a number, but no buttons seem to change it.

I'm thinking software bug of some sort here.

Checked with dealer and they confirmed that you can NOT change the pressure setting digitally from the dash computer. You need to manually adjust actual tire pressure and use “setting by current pressure” setting. The operators manual leaves a lot to be desired.
