Transmission Class Action??

I've had my 1958 for a year now. I use ECT 2nd when driving for long periods of time at low speeds on the Beach at temps over 90 degrees outside and never had an issue with overheating.

I've been up and down several steep hills in the PA Wilds region on 3-4 hour gravel road/trail outings, regularly drive I-80 around Clearfield where it hits the highest point, all in 4HI, no issues. The climb around Clearfield is many miles long, is pretty much a long steady climb, and I've done it at 75mph with zero issues. No transmission overheating, warnings. etc.

Did you use a scanner to measure. I learned the gauge could be halfway and the real temp would be over 220F. According to toyota the gauge just tells you if there is a spike on the change of temperature, but not actual temp.

I just recently got my 2025 LC im still under 1k miles and have experienced this a few times. Are you still experiencing this?

I also purchased mine at the end of May 2025 and it does all of these stuff. Including the high temps. I am worried that will leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere....that was the whole point of changing my Jeep for this thing

No, I didn't, and since then, haven't had a need to. Even if it's just recording a spike in temp and not the actual temp, there's been no large spikes to warrant any further action.

Hoping that it stays that way! I've been running around the same places at about 13,000 miles now and no issues.

Mine does this as well, cold and/or hot. Coming to a stop it feels like it's holding in 2nd or maybe even third too long, like it's caught there, then will "slam" down into first with what feels like a release almost causing the vehicle to speed up....
