Thoughts on ZAKTEK exterior protection?

The dealership my prospective new 1958 is coming from was thoughtful enough to supposedly apply Zaktek interior and exterior protection at $999 each. They've already
done it (allegedly) so I'm going to try and negotiate $2k from the sale price. Online reviews state, that to maintain it's warranty it has to be reapplied by the dealer you purchase it from every 6 months. I'm not buying local and it's a day's drive with no loaner. My favorite part is "You'll need to drive it through a carwash before dropping it off." They actually said that. Unfreakingbelievable.
Hoping someone chimes in with how remarkable this stuff is.

Most (if not all) interior and/or exterior protection is essentially DAP (Dealer Added Profit). It tends to be more of an insurance policy than anything else. IE, the exterior covers dents and the interior protection for stains and things like that.
