It's like they never finished the instructions and are waiting to release them because they think they're going to finish then up one day.

Whoa - that's all I have to say about those installation instructions.

Those instructions are lacking severely, even ARB has over a 40-page manual because this install requires one. Although, I can't believe someone actually found a TCC installation guide. As a company that prides itself in being Australian made, etc. this is very embarrassing.

Yeah, it's not great. The bumper looks good, but you better be a serious do-it-yourselfer. Like the kind that maybe could have made the bumper yourself, but wanted to skip that step.

Ironman doesn't have the owner cut the bumper straight across. They maintain as much as the OEM rigidity as possible.

I still can't believe LRA would sell a product as involved as this without an installation guide. What kind of business practice is that?

Yeah, it's really weird. The strangest part I think, is that they have full, really good instructions for their rear bumper for the 250, but then nothing for the front.
I do think the problem started with TCC not making the instructions, then LRA tried to come up with something to help their customers, but then also didn't deliver.

doesnt really bother me as i like the way the bumper looks. its the only one that really mantains the authentic landcruiser look without feeling too retro - IMO. I was more in shock that there were so few bolts that came with it.
i prefer to be able to check that i have everything required before starting to tear the truck apart

That's Matt Brock's of Southern Nevada Offroad Trailing (SNOT) Dad's LC250, Matt did the install and it looks like he was doing those instructions for LRA but never completed them.

May be more of a install video but here's a little one I found real quick. also I believe the cut has been coined the viper cut for this bumper?

Yeah there aren't many bolts with any of these, it's the cutting that causes some issues, and I'd recommend an oscillating multi-tool with good Milwaukee or Diablo cutting blades. I have noticed (0) changes in temperatures while off road, both with transmission and engine temps. I was just out at Sand Hollow in the dunes yesterday in Hurricane, UT.

TCC finally released some instructions(incomplete) however they were enough for me to go forward with the project. I am taking photos now and will share with everone when complete. I will also include the link from TCC. They did miss some important steps in their instructions but it is pretty obvious. These are actually impressively exhaustive instructions! Glad to see that they’re catering to DIY, unlike many competitors.

How long did the install take you? Looks great. Always fun to be freezing out in the snow trying to figure things out.

Finally got mine on the 1958. Cant thank you enough for linking those instructions. share your experiences im curious. very happy with the look and how it turned out but i forsee a few issues ill have to troubleshoot..

starting to look at skid plates.
for those who have installed this bumper or are familiar, will i be able to mount skids like those from victory4x4 or c4 given this bumper ties into the factory tie down points?

i dont want skids that mount to the radiator support, but not sure if this bumper interferes/makes that more difficult

what did the rest of you put on?
