Took delivery of my 1958 on Thursday after about a 6 week wait, as my dealer was able to get one transferred on Allocation. Ended up paying $53,113 before taxes, title. First 300 miles have been amazing, impressed with fuel economy as well, averaging 23.5mpg during break in period. I have driven several V8 muscle cars so anything over 18mpg average makes me happy.
Starting pretty bare bones here, this is going to be a commuter/flyfishing rig, with most trips to Northern Wisconsin for musky, and the occasional trip out west. Going to run the stock tires down before switching to something more aggressive.
I have the Premium rails to install, tint scheduled for 3 weeks, finalizing Gtechniq ceramic coating timeline.
Liftgate light and windshield strips arrived last night, will document and photograph the liftgate light as there seems to be less info on that for the manual liftgates.
