Hello everyone
I just took delivery a day ago and yesterday I noticed my spare tire is not an AT Nitto Ridge, it's a Michelin Tire non AT. Anyone had that issue, Feedback is appreciated. 'm calling the dealership this morning. I had that AT Tires Option added to the vehicle at the port is over $1500 "upgrade".

Tire changes from what comes stock are an upgrade. Did the optional upgrade specify the spare tire? Most places I've dealt with never quote the spare when replacing tires, you have to specifically ask for it to be included. I'd review the option content and check with the dealer.

That’s a dealer or distributor thing, not a Toyota thing. Toyota doesn’t put Nitto tires on them.

This ^^^^. You could have gotten it with the stock tires and then purchased the cheap nitto’s for less than $1500.
Dealer turns around and sells your Michelin’s, makes out like a bandit.

The Nitto upgrade is sold as just that - an upgrade from Toyota - either way - for 70k+ seems a little chicken Sh)@ to not have a matching spare - anyone have any luck going back to the dealer ?

I think it’s a SE Toyota distributor thing in this case. The SE Toyota distributor seems to have all kinds of crap add ons the rest of the country doesn’t have to deal with.

Realizing this original post is old…replying anyway in case helpful to anyone. I don’t think anyone would have any luck post-delivery…I don’t think the “upgrade” package specifies that it is 5 tires. On my 4Runner Pro that I had previously, the spare was a road tire (not a/t Nitto like the rest).
Regardless, as part of the paperwork, there’s a disclosure of what is owed…if another tire isn’t on there, then they don’t owe it. Dealer’s position will likely be that this could have/should have been negotiated pre-delivery.
Sorry, I know that is not what you want to hear…and agree that’s BS for $1500. Good luck.
