First significant mod completed Friday. Had RRW RR7-S Monoforged 2.0 in matte bronze mounted with Toyo Open Country A/T III 34x10.5R17LT. My initial plan was to go with +25 offset RR7-7 Flow Formed but the current sale and stock availability of the Monoforged 2.0 in +0 got my wheels turning. I didn’t want significant poke but coming from a stock Chevy Colorado ZR2 I wasn’t opposed to a little tire outside the fender. I ended up pulling the trigger on the +0 wheels and ordered 5 Toyos from Tire Easy that were sent to a local installer. The wheels came straight to me via FedEx. Three of the wheels made it in four days, FedEx sent the fourth wheel via Pittsburgh even though they picked up all four from RRW together but it got to me on day 5. First impressions on the wheels are all very positive. The color is a little darker in person than they show on the RRW website but I think they go better with the Underground LC in the darker shade. The best surprise is the weight of the wheels. RRW stated the 0 offset would be as low as 20lbs. My wheels weighed 19.74, 19.76, 19.8 and 19.8 pounds. Nicest wheels I have ever had on a vehicle. Just beautiful inside and out.

Visually the setup meets my expectations. Fills the wheel wells and gives the LC a purposeful appearance. The sidewall tread is outside the fenders and it looks like the fronts will produce rooster tails on the doors but I drove in the rain today and it wasn’t as bad as expected. No discernible spray pattern from the tires. I also purchased RokBlokz XL mud flaps to try to cut down on the spray and debris. They will be installed tomorrow. If it becomes an issue I will invest in NYTOP flares to fix the problem.

I get minor rubbing on the air dams and they will be removed before the end of the weekend. No rubbing anywhere else.

One of the reasons for buying the LC was improved mpg over the Colorado which averaged 17.5 mpg. I knew before I bought it I would swap out the wheels and tires and wanted to try to maintain the fuel efficiency gains. Many thanks to @Bad1975, @LcAz and @Blue Bear for their knowledge sharing on the forum. They aided me greatly in my decision making. In the end I cut approximately 4.9 lbs per corner.my first tank of gas on stock 20s in ECO I averaged 22 mpg. Halfway through tank two with new shoes in regular mode I’m averaging 19.5. Next tank will be in sport mode then I’ll probably drive primarily in ECO. I’m in no rush and if I want to drive fast this isn’t the vehicle to do it in.

Overall I’m very pleased with the setup. While I try to avoid bro tendencies in my advanced age, every time I look at the LC now I think “hell yeah, man.”

Looking good!

I'm may eventually have my RRWs clear powder coated in a between gloss and matte finish they are very hard to keep looking fresh in the Matte Bronze and lose allot of brighter color with very little dirt on them and as you mentioned are quite a bit darker than what I thought they would be.

I love the RRW wheels though very well made, balance easily and light weight as well, IIRC my hybrid beadlocks are 22lbs with all the beadlock stuff installed and since no additional weight or rotating mass was installed there has been no measurable MPG difference even with AT tread vs. the stock 20" with street tread Yoko XCVs.

Only downside to my setup is the Yoko AT4s are quite noisy but otherwise flawless on and offroad, I will go with a different tire next time to try and cut down on noise.

Definitely more tire noise with the AT3s but between my tinnitus and moderate hearing loss it’s not that big of a deal so far. Thank you artillery.

No tinnitus here, not sure how I got that lucky? But my hearing loss is quite bad due to working on weapons systems and RADAR for 30 years and sitting between dual 400Hz generators as my office/workspace for a good portion of that.

Now I work on 5" guns and the hydraulic motors are louder than the gun when its firing inside the gun mount! I will likely be deaf by the time I retire for the second time!

Naval guns! Mk-45s? You probably qualify for the $12.75 settlement from 3M for the green and yellow ear pro issued in the late 90s and early 2000s. I wasn’t willing to put in that much effort for two beers and a tip.

Yes sir MK45! I worked missile systems during the 3M crap and had fitted ear pro so no $12.75 for me, got about 15% added to disability though it didn't matter since all my crap combined got me to 100% two times over.
