Roof Rack Delete on 2025 Land Cruiser

A little late to the party, but I am planning on deleting my OEM roof rack from my 2025 LC 250 (also Heritage Blue/White!) The dealer sold me 6 plastic covers, but no other parts. It looks like I actually need those clips and 12 bolts you show. I want to make sure this is what I need before I go and remove this rack only to find I am short parts. Thanks for the post, very informative!
Correct, the covers are only part of the solution. You'll also want some RTV to seal the bolt holes to prevent water ingress.

Dang.. I didn’t use RTV on Miss Daisy’s roof when I removed the noise generator/air brake.

I want to delete my oem roof rack for now and possibly find something different later on. If I use the rtv on the bolts will they be difficult to remove once the time comes?

As long as you don't use red Loctite and use an RTV they should be pretty easy to remove later on.

I don't know how the color of RTV would matter...... With Loctite the color is a factor but never heard of RTV color as a determining factor. There are different types of RTV which happen to be different colors etc........ That being said, the ordinary clear RTV would be my choice as it's probably least likely to be visible. Regardless, most RTV is easily removed with plastic picks/scrapers.

(edit) This post may not make sense now as the poster edited his previous post to remove the statement "as long as you don't use red RTV" etc.....

you're right🤦‍♂️. The Permatex Red RTV is for high temp applications but should be fine. Probably a little ugly though. I was thinking about the red thread locker that Toyota uses from factory on the roof racks that makes taking out the factory bolts kind of a pain.
