I'm happy with the GP Factor board mounts for sure. I ran them with the Dirtcom on my 4Runner and now the LC, but again, only for trips, not full time. Quality stuff!

Does anybody else worry about accidentally hitting the automatic liftgate button on the key in your pocket and having it crash into the tire carrier? Is there anyway to prevent that?

I have the same idea but I want to modify a bike carrier to carry fuel and a table. I believe there is a cheap and easy solution there, I just can’t figure it out. If there any MacGyver guys out there that can figure it out, I’d love to hear the idea.

Another Dirtcom owner, if you have any questions. Yes, it's quite a bit more than the Go Rhino option., but it does a few things better. When full bumpers are available that simplify sensor/camera relocation, that will be the better option. In the meantime...

Dirtcom looks good but way too pricey for my use case. I may consider the rigid armor one that appears to have a fold down table behind the tire carrier, if I can find more info on it.

If you search: temu receiver spare tire carrier

there is a swingout model that is $225 delivered. I have it and it looks well made, but I will test the welds before travel.

Most of these carriers offered in North America are simply resold Chinese products with a large markup. But the price of the GoRhino product above isn't terrible.

A swing down carrier probably preserves the sensors function in the bumper
