Question: Any known issue with buying a First Edition?

Hello. I am looking at buying a First Edition with 10,000 miles. With the Land Cruiser 250 being a new vehicle, are there any known issues with buying one of the first LC250s produced? Thank you.

Hi FE buyer. So far, did not hear or read anything negative

Being the first edition, antidotally you can expect early first year build quality issues that have been addressed in later models. Not that this specific example will have any, but it’s a general risk.

Just like any other model, Most are good, some have minor issues, a few are lemons and a lot have owner perceived problems "for 70K it shouldn't have a squeak" etc........

Do your due diligence with a through visual, ask for the maintenance history printout etc......

The main issue is paying more $$$
Love my FE with all heartbeats
Only 5,000 FE made for US market, so you hold a piece of history

If you bought it from dealer, it should be fine under manufacture warranty unless you found big faults
