Power steps

Getting closer...Saw a Facebook GX owner (2024+ Lexus GX (GX 550 & GX 550H) Group) put on this kit on but had to make some modifications. He was not clear if the mods were done to the car or to the kit.

His words 'I bought these ‘24 4Runner steps, they had to be cut down some to fit + some adjusting under the cab for the step brackets. '

I love that these posts never show any useful photos.

Please for the love of gods show us photos of the actual brackets.

The ambiguous "modified" is annoying.

He replied that they had to drill additional holes to accommodate the location of the brackets. no additional pictures though

The Rough Country one looks good

Hi, I love your setup.
I have a quick question about these power running boards that you got installed.
Q) Do they have pinch protection/safety feature? i.e. when they are open with the doors open and someone's foot is on them and accidently the door is closed and the running board starts to close and when they feel something is between the running board and vehicle body they open back up (so as not to squish and hurt the foot)?

Thanks! Yes, they do. Any resistance causes them to stop. I haven't tested if they also open back up (or close, if e.g. crested on a sand dune).
