Popping Center Console

Yes - I heard Toyota finally issued a TSB for this. Contact your dealer to confirm, find out what the process is and see when you can bring it in. While you're there, you can get your center console replaced.

I haven't run across a TSB for the Ctr console. I did take mine apart and couldn't find any broken pieces and when I reassembled it, it stopped the dreaded popping sound but I don't lean on it hard like I used to. Should it start popping again, I'm going to add some foam as I'm convinced it's just a slight mismatch between the plastic allowing one side/edge to deflect and pop.

Correct, there is no TSB for the center console, the dealer should just replace it because they are aware of the issue. If you can replicate it for them while you are there or show them a video, that is very helpful as well.

Same here. Non-cooling center console. Between this daily creak when I get in and then joined by the C-pillar rattle in hot weather, I’m really disappointed in the quality of this vehicle. My Ford Explorer and now Dodge Durango squad vehicles have less rattles than this $70k “premium” vehicle. And we beat on those cars, I baby the sh** out of the Land Cruiser. Problem is besides a new Ford F150 Raptor pickup, I don’t know what I would replace it with.

The whole myth of built in Japan is elite status is fake news lol.
