LC250
Hello,

So I was going to buy an used 4Runner when I spotted the new LC in person at the dealer and just bought a trail dust FE. It just looked awesome and ticked all the boxes for me.

So far, just a wrap and 275/70 R18 K03s with RWL on the outside. Never driven on the stock tires.

Had the truck for a few months now and have been loving it more and more. I wasn't originally a big fan of the hybrid turbo at first since the throttle response felt weird but I've gotten used to it to the point where I feel really connected to the powerplant. I live the heart of the city of Boston and it feels really nimble and quick around town and its very easy to parallel park. So far been out off-roading quite a bit, worked awesome at the beach in Martha's Vineyard, the muddy ATV trails and all the crazy hill climbs around my hometown. I am only getting around 14mpgs with these tires and with the small tank, only about 200 mile range which is a little annoying, otherwise I'm very happy with it.

Here's my plan:
I love the look of the larger tires with a slightly wider stance so I think I'll do the following:
315/70 R17 K03s (need the white lettering!) on Method 703s +35s for a touch of poke. Tires are "only 34.4" so I'm hoping I can keep the FE mud flaps.

I also want a high clearance low profile front bumper with a winch so I think I will be springing for a Dissent bumper.

As for suspension, anyone know when the ARM OME kit will be out? I am looking for a small lift only, something around 2" or so in the front and whatever will make it level in the rear.

Truck will be experience a fair amount of off-roading but still needs to be ready for a long ski trip and weekend use.

Would love any suggestions on suspension alternatives. I could be convinced to spring for some kings.

Ordered the total chaos kings suspension kit. Also got the rear link kits and a rear spring from icon.

Ordered a set of 315/70 R17 K03s with Method 703s with the +35 offset.

Install is happening end of March. This shop is pretty busy. They had like 30 trucks outside that all looked amazing. The guys I spoke to seemed very knowledgeable and intelligent.

Held off on the front bumper and winch for now. Want to see how it looks first.

Getting excited.

Truck is going to the shop for upgrades on Monday. Also ordered the new ARB dual brushless air compressor kit. They ordered a bracket kit for under the hood but later realized the mounting is different from the older compressors. We're going to try to fit it.

I’m obsessed with this look…

Top photo was taken and edited from The off-road shop where got my stuff done, Offroad Elements. They edited out my license plate and OHV sticker. I’m obsessed with it so far. Spring rates are a bit higher than I was expecting, truck doesn’t dive under braking like it used to, even though I’m on the softest compression settings. I haven’t tested the articulation yet, only been on the beach so far. Weirdly the gas mileage improved from 13.7 to 16.5 from 275/70 R18s (33.5”) to the 315/70 R17s (34.4”). Same K03 tire and tire pressures. Should read lower even if only because the Speedo is off. I’m a bit confused. Maybe the smaller tires weren’t aligned as well?

More to come…

It was like two little boys finding out firecrackers could blow up ant hills when you were doing donuts on the beach. Its clear you love your rig. (y)

I didnt realize what part you were talking about! That was actually a frozen lake in Maine that we driving past while heading home from a ski trip, I saw another car out there so I just slammed my brakes and pulled in. I grew up doing all these things, but my buddy in the passenger seat was a city kid. He was having the time of his life, and I couldn’t stop laughing. Good times!
