It’s a 67, had it since 1993 and it was my daily driver from 1993 to 2008, put close to 180,000 miles on it. It had the original 327 and power glide in until then. It he car had almost 200K miles when we got in 1993, I re did the engine a few months later going with forged true flat tops (some old TRW) forged pistons I had. Some ported brazinski 2 bbl heads and 2 bbl intake and, holly 500cfm 2bbl carb, roller rockers, Steele crank, balanced rotating assembly and brass bushed small ends on the rods (floaters). It was 10.25:1 basically a circle track engine. Drove that for years and when the heads went bad (water ate through them) Inout some Brodix head on it. 2008 took it apart back in the road in 2011. 327 rear thrust bearing went out and wiped out the block in 2019, so I built a 383 for it. Wanted big block but prices were astronomical for anything buildable from the later model roller blocks.
It now has 700R4, 10.70:1 544/555 lift 233/235 duration @.050 roller cam and maybe 425 H/P 450 torque. Since being back on the road it’s been driven close to 35,000 miles. It’s our second car and definitely gets driven and not just looked at. Super fun and always a blast to drive. It’s in need of a new rebuild for the rear end at some point. The last time I did it bs k in 2006 was the first time doing one.

That's a nice looking ride...Utah is a long way from home. My son did the TAT from Raleigh on a BMW 800 soon after I walked the Camino. They are both quite an adventure.

Lynda is a great ride. That pic was taken in October 2011 when I did a fly and ride to Tennessee with my GF while living in Idaho. I gave her to one of my sons. I always wanted to do the TAT with my two son’s (two R1200 GSA’s and a 2013 F700GS, all three tricked out), but life happened and I got old… too old for the TAT anyway.

Maybe too old for two wheels but perhaps not to old for the LC
