Big things happening at @sxth_element_engineering !! I have here their CPLT intake for the 2024+ Toyota Land Cruiser. This is a final pre-production unit and the surface finish of the box and tube will be smoother. I will be installing this very soon!!

Here it is installed. I have a dash cam video but you can hear more of the outside windshield noise more then the added turbo sound. I will record one inside with my phone soon.

Looks great

Is that an additional opening in the corner opposite the outlet tube, essentially a hot air inlet? If so did it come with something to block it off?

Yes it’s right behind the driver side headlight. No there is no way to block it off.

So what does thing thing do?
Besides complicate and add cost to the filter replacement?
Where does the replacement filter come from and how much $.
Why a hot air intake port?

Thanks for the info! That’s a bummer.

I tried a similar setup from AFE on my Tundra and the additional flow was too much and reduced low end torque quite allot and killed gas mileage.

I even blocked that off on the Tundra and it was better but still too much flow with just the high flow filter. Fast fwd a few years I had a tune and high flow exhaust and just the AFE filter was still too much. Now just running drop in K&N in the stock box on that and it’s perfect.

Hope you experience differently on the 250!
