Hello everyone,

This weekend I got around to installing the K&N 63 Series intake and would like to share that video. I also made a custom acrylic cover that replaces the pre-filter. Pretty sure the pre-filter can take in some warm engine bay air, this looks decently cool, and you can visibly have a look at how dirty your filter is getting. Plus I can consider etching some designs into it as well.

This video is in the 4Runner, but the difference for the Land Cruiser is noted. I will be installing a 77 series in the Land Cruiser next weekend.

So do you see any sort of performance gain from this mod? Fuel economy? Turbo response? Or maybe just hearing more turbo and more aesthetics? Need real world feedback please.

I think

I think with this much power gain (according to the dyno), it's going to be hard to feel it with the butt dyno. Turbo noise is definitely up and throttle response feels better.

I am monitoring fuel economy. More power with less effort should yield some gain. It's tough with a recent change of tires and addition of mud flaps to do a perfect A / B test.

With the LC and the 77 series I can probably do a better comparison. I have a Dragy. Will it be enough power to make a difference? We'll see.
