Looking for long-term feedback from anyone running a Westcott lift with 34s or 35s. If you’ve got 100K+ miles on the setup, how has reliability been?

I’m leaning toward a Westcott lift with 34s, possibly 35s. My Land Cruiser is a daily driver, but I’ll be doing plenty of overlanding out West in the summers.

My biggest concern is long-term reliability. Anyone running a Westcott lift with 34s/35s who has 100k+ miles on the setup?

Any drivetrain, suspension, transmission, or engine issues you feel were related to the lift or larger/heavier tires? How has it held up, and would you do it again?

I’d especially like to hear from high-mileage owners rather than those with just a few thousand miles.

LC250s were delivered in the US starting in mid 2024, its unlikely that there are more than a few that have gone 100,000+ miles. It looks like the guy that was driving 10,000+ miles a month probably switched to driving something else to save some gas.
If you are looking for OEM level durability in a suspension, I would look towards OEM suspension suppliers like Bilstein, FOX, ARB/OME, and KYB.

Welcome Big D!
Follow up from Matthew - a 100K mile LC is a unicorn!.

In general either the Westcott or Peak are pretty mild setups. We have 2.5”/1” Westcott w/ 275/60R20 115T (33”) A/T4W Wildpeaks. Drives & handles great using stock strut/shocks remaining nice & compliant. Setup does a nice job leveling, I think I ended up true 1.75”F/.75” rear lift heights. Get around 18mpg mixed driving, 20mpg on the highway staying 80 or below. Take info for whatever coming from a 10K miles ‘26 LC Premium.

With 34-35” tires it will be difficult to find them in anything other than Truck E-rated tires, & that will destroy the stock ride feel of the Westcott setup. Those tall tires are going to also negatively impact your acceleration & braking if that’s important to you.
Recommendation with Westcott:
  • Mark & check bolts after first 500 miles - then good
  • 4-Wheel align the LC when you install, & get the AHARS (cameras, lidar, sensors) system checked
  • Add KDSS BOTCK to rear link/panhard rod to get it back level & improves ride.

Lots of info in the search.

Plenty of overlanding out West and want 35” tires with $500 Westcott kit …
Westcott stuffs for looks than real suspension performance. I personally call it “downgraded” the expensive $70k LC
It’s my 1-cent opinion…

Love our ‘downgraded’ LC.
