Busy ass week, ill take some more photos soon.

New tires rock, pretty much let me park anywhere.

I installed the center arm rest and it works great. The gel makes it super comfortable, but for long road trips nothing beats the window armrests from car trim home.

Eventually I'm going to remove the shitty topper and fake leather and do a motorcycle gel/alcantera setup.

I changed my shifter grip to alcantera as well.

I have the plomar hood strut kit, and a bunch of exterior protection stuff that I have to put on, along with red recovery points.

Honestly this is the most fun I've had for short money in a vehicle, ever! Just crossed 1k miles and considering getting an oil change.

Also it's crazy how the front section I cleaned when I got the thing with the Maguire's coating still stays salt free vs the rest of her.

Even if I cleaned her today, it's snowing all night and tomorrow!

I'm going to have get the whole thing coated aren't I? Damn shops around here want 5k at least for the ceramic coating and ppf at the same time.

I don't want to spend 5k on something that doesn't make it faster, handle better, give it more traction, make it more comfortable or sound better!

I mean honestly what's 5k in car washes?

Drove through 15+ inches of snow on an unplowed field to setup 200 yard targets.

Got her back this morning, right before snowpockalipse

Beat-sonic is a real improvement for the speakers and the 8" kicker really has some deep smooth base for its size. Speaking of size it fits right under the passenger seat. No loss of trunk and works very nice.

Phase 2 is going to be dynamat doors and door speakers.

But that's summer time.

Did they mention anything about cancelling anc (built in voice cancelation) I’m going this exact route, beat sonic amp and similar sub as you but from Memphis audio. The installer mention anc might embroidered an issue. And to confirm your beat sonic is ena 2t3?

Ena 2t3 - no problem. Working great. About to upgrade the doors and add tweeters. I ordered the LC A pillars with tweeter housings.

Ive made a point to keep it low key - my installers wanted to use this fancy Italian made component, tweeter, cross over setup for phase 2.

But the beat Sonic doesn't push enough power for a setup like that and wouldn't really activate them.

They would be perfect with a DSP and a dedicated amplifier - but for the beat Sonic the best route is something like the Focal 619 toys or something like that which are made to sound good at lower power ranges and work with Toyotas system.

Don't get me wrong, when I first looked into this I was gonna do an 8 speaker, 2 amps, 2 subs system for around 9k.

With door speakers & dynomat (phase 2) added to the beat-sonic + powered amp I should have a system better than any factory system for around 3k and most people won't ever be able to tell the difference.

Landcruiser math says because I saved 6k on the sound system now I can afford metal bumpers and a full Bilstein suspension setup

Auto lane keep + radar cruise = very little actual driving work. I just keep my hand on the wheel with a bit of weight and it goes for miles.

Really, really looking into the wolf box and setting up some cameras.

My only real beef with the 1958 is the lack of exterior cameras. I think the factory dash cam will have to go.

Decided I wasn't into buying component speakers and running them and paying a shop to be super fancy.

Instead of paying 2k I'm paying $240 (kicker KS coaxial 6x9 and custom mounts) and using some left over dynomat. I decided I could take my own panels off and drill in my own speakers. The most important thing is to make sure they are 4 ohm speakers.

This was never going be a high end system and I think it's going to be perfect.

The point is that the final combo is way greater than the sum of it's parts.

The final combo is chef's kiss for a sub 1k in parts audio system. I'm probably going to put more dynomat in eventually.

Got my favorite cell phone holder installed until the powered Japanese one gets here.

She attaches to the front left bolt of the passenger seat. Probably originally made for ham radio stuff but there is a cellphone mount that attaches to it.

Also added dog throne.

The wife might have picked Sadie, but I work from home and therefore she hangs with me most of the time.

She's my little road dog. Once we got the center mounted dog seat she never misses a car ride.

My clients don't ask questions when we show up and she walks in first. Most of them love her.

I'm pretty sure more people in our building know her name better than mine.

I just picked up a 20" rifle +2 gas system Proof carbon wrapped 6.5cm barrel and sent it off to D.wilson to have the LMT MARS-H barrel extension welded on. I took her in 308 out to 500 yards but I have a date at a 1,000+ yard range coming up and need something that will reach out all the way steady!

My friend was short on cash so I paid him more than it was worth, removed it from his aero upper and shipped it.
