Lightbar in grille

Has anyone drilled into that aluminum bar in the grille, shown below, to attach a light bar?

I have not, but as far as I know that’s the crash bar, little aluminum bar that’s supposed to crumple and absorb some impact in an accident so some would say not to mess with it, but personally I wouldn’t sweat over 4 holes in it

You don’t need to drill into it. You can use kits from m&r and few others to make your life easier. Here is my post on the light bar.

That is the crash bar, a few holes prob won't hurt anything and certainly won't diminish any effect of a crash.
