Just curious how much do you guys pay for your LC insurance and what do you cover?

For me, State Farm is charging me $245 per month with liability, $1000 comprehensive, $1000 collision, and uninsured motorists. I have no negative mark on my record and three cars and my house with Statefarm so all the discounts. My credit score is 800+ so I couldn't think of anything that could negatively impact my premium. I am in California BTW.

I know CA is a very expensive area but this premium still feel a bit too high. What are you paying for yours?

I am at about $150/month LC/LC
$500 deductible and fullest of coverage on everything I could get (rental car, $300k/$500k uninsured motorist, etc)
Through KY Farm Bureau. They always pay with no drama.

I only have my wife’s car and homeowners on the multi-policy. The $150 is the LC portion.

I could have gotten a good bit cheaper through Progressive, etc., but my repair guy says you have to fight them for every dollar if you need to get something fixed and they never want to use OEM parts.

I’m about $218/month for $500/250k liability with $1k deductibles on comp and collision here in Chicago. Also bundled with condo and umbrella.

Unfortunately seems like insurance rates have skyrocketed the last few years.

I’m at $1487 per 6 months ($247 monthly) which is $300K/$100K injury, $100K property damage, $5K medical, $500 deductible comprehensive with the $0 glass deductible, $500 deductible collision.

It’s actually quite a bit higher than my 2016 Tahoe was with the same coverage levels and $400 more per 6 months than my Porsche 911.

My wife’s GLC300 is $2000 per 6 months, same coverage. Surprisingly our daughters (ages 19 and 21) have far lower premiums on their cars (RAV4, Bronco Sport), same coverage. Although - one of them got a ticket last week and the other one had a minor parking lot incident, so their rates might be headed north.

I have no tickets, nor does my wife. A lot of the actuary is about the cars, the chances of a claim, and the projected costs.

Unfortunately, auto insurance is just one thing that get sky-rocketed. Homeowner insurance, utilities… etc all have gone up probably 50% from the past few years. I just see my DMV registration renewal which is $800+ a year.

Is there anything not crazy right now?
