For some reason - that actually makes me feel better Original estimate before they tore it down was $4,900 - things like Radar Sensor $888 and a bunch of brackets blew that $# away. Headlight $1,783 - most expensive part (as you would guess).

Yea, I think my original estimate was somewhere in the $6k range, but it went up a good bit once they took it apart.

I can't tell that there was ever any damage. Maybe someone with some auto repair experience could tell if they looked close enough. In the end, I think the shop did a great job.

Might be tough due to the fact that it might end-up being 50/50 on who was at fault. Be going after my own insurance company.

I did it when my company (Geico) folded under the pressure a much stronger arbitrating company (State Farm). So I held them to account for 30% of the diminished value (State Farm for 70%) and I switched insurers

Worse - but fixed perfectly at least as of a year later. All OEM and I think 11 weeks as back then getting parts from Japan was awful.
