This is petty, but for some reason I really like the character it brings when someone has an avatar instead of the default "letter" in their profile. Petty... unnecessary, yes.... but it would be neat if more people set avatars. If for no other reason than to spice up my boring existence!

I've been looking at too many letter only default avatars recently. This thread needs to be revived.

My avatar is our recently departed female German Shepherd. Her name was Bailey, and we were her 3rd family, rescued her from the Humane Society in Rapid City, SD. She had some insane prey drive and dog aggression when we got her. With a bit of work, and enough time for her to realize other dogs weren’t competing for food and attention she turned into an absolute sweetheart.

Unbeknownst to me, after we put her down at almost 14 years old, my wife decided to paint a small portrait of her doing what she did best. Now proudly displayed above the toilet in our master bathroom.
