How to activate the HUD Turn by Turn Route Indication

Does anybody know how to activate the Turn by Turn Navigation Display marker on HUD . For the life of me cant see where the settings are. I have all the rest.

I found it when I set the middle to adaptive cruise control setting. Then the turn by turn shows up in the HUD.

FYI for me on CarPlay, it seemed to work only with Apple Maps and not google maps.

Same. Apple only. Also noticed it will disappear when just going straight and will pop up when turn is ahead.

Apple Maps and the built-in Toyota Navigation will show in the HUD as long as MAPS is not the selected “widget” or screen in the center portion of the dashboard (through the steering wheel). Your HUD setting must also be set to FULL

The navigation turn-by-turn arrows will not show up until you are 2 miles or less to the next turn. Note this is with CarPlay.

I do not have an Android phone, so not sure if Google Maps will show up in the HUD through Android Auto. Google Maps does NOT show up in the HUD via CarPlay, its not supported.
