How important is the sway bar disconnect?

That is a common roll over point on the trail and good drivers and spotters start higher (uphill side) and turn towards the downhill side as the vehicle begins breakover to reduce the side tipping angle and prevent roll over.
Exactly what I was thinking needed to be done instead, but not knowing that trail, I didn't know if there was some good reason they couldn't start high on the right and head toward the left going down.

Also, an experienced driver might have cranked the wheel left and given it some gas to try to save it, but that roll did happen really fast. But again, an experienced driver/spotter would have been on a different line

Help me out guys and gals. My LC doesn’t have that sway bar disconnect mechanism that seems to be standard now on the LC 2026 base. I off-road regularly with my highest a 4/10 on Onx and aside from tires, with a stock set up. Realistically, I will probably top out at 5, maybe 6. How important is it to have that feature for that level of off roading? Where is it helpful? I am trying to decide if I need to consider it.
Depends on what type of offroad you do and how often. It does give you more articulation, which is great to keep traction on all 4 wheels as much as possible. If you are doing 4's or below most of the time, it will not make a difference. It makes it a lot less tippy when in hard obstacles that require articulation.

Would the extra articulation have helped avoid this unfortunate situation?

first, he keeps on breaking hard, it cause the vehicle to tip forward,
second you don't definitely need it as you must have some weight distribution in the back as the lc250 does.
Third, upgraded to cheap springs?
Fourth, that guy needs a new friend of s potter, he is suppose to be Infront to check where he is landing to,
fifth, Bro cant trail. so yeah kinda not his forte.

Unlikey. SDM is about traction. Looks like he lost balance. I guess it’s possible but this look more like a driving error.

This is the video that swayed (hah) me on SDM. Obviously you don’t “need” it and nothing saves you from poor decisions while driving.

I'll probably never need it, but it does make small bumps on trails softer. I don't jostle my head around as much when I disconnect it. That's really the main benefit for me, but I certainly would be just fine with out it
