Has anybody tried to fit 17" rims from 6th gen 4runner SR5?

Methods are fabricated in China.
I do find it odd that an American company that outsources its manufacturing to China and sells what is essentially an OEM replacement-sized wheel for several Toyota platforms in Australia doesn't have that same wheel available to US customers. I'm not saying that to attack Method, as I've stated before I am a fan and own a set of their wheels that are currently installed on my Tacoma. It just seems odd.

Why wouldn’t an Australian Method dealer ship a set of wheels to the USA? It should not violate any laws to import directly.

Less complicated logistics, only one SKU vs 2. Less confusion for customers, the 17 fits other vehicles as well and is generally more desirable for offroading than the 18. I can think of alot of reasons to only carry the 17 or the 18.

Cost prohibitive. Methods are actually IMO quite affordable for what you get. With shipping from AU, customers have some really great options in the premium category at that price point. Shipping 140 lbs from Australia to the US (even in slow boat bulk) is expensive.

I think what I had in mind in my original statement was to keep a certain number of them for stateside sales and not ship them to AUS in the first place.
Since they're not made in house, different plants in China (or other countries) could be making different Method wheel models/sizes. With low cost/low-margin wheels, making one big shipment out of China to AUS every xx days/weeks makes sense logistically imo.
